Anton Michelsen
Anton Michelsen is the founder of one of Denmark's most important and historically significant jewelry dynasties, establishing his workshop in Copenhagen in 1841. Born in 1809 in Odense, Denmark, into a family of silversmiths and goldsmiths with roots traceable to the 17th century, Michelsen trained in Denmark and abroad — working in Berlin workshops including Mention & Wagner in 1838–1839 — before returning to Copenhagen to open his own firm.
